The System is available to everyone that is 18 years of age or above. Minors over 14 may ride the bikes as well, but they need a pass from the city hall and the accord of their legal tutor.

What is the duration of a trip?

Sibiu BikeCity has been created whilst having trips of a maximum of 30 minutes in mind. When the trip passes 30 minutes, you are subject to increasing fees, until the bike is considered as missing and authorities might be alerted.

Can I lend someone my plan?

No. Plans are nominal and can only be used by the subscribed person.

How can I unlock a bike?

You can use any of the following 3 options: insert the Sibiu BikeCity smart card in the card reader, scan the QR code using the PBSC app or use the kiosk to receive a code which you then type using the dock’s keyboard.

How do I return a bike to the dock?

Push the bike firmly, using the front wheel, in the dedicated space of the dock until you hear a mechanical “click”. Wait for the green light to indicate that the bike has been successfully blocked. A red light indicated that the operation did not finalize properly, case in which you have to try to block it again. If the red-light issues continue, try another dock.
